Nestled into the steep slopes of a deeply incised barranco, the cluster of small houses lies among centuries-old terraced fields where grain, potatoes, and palms were once cultivated. Its secluded location has helped Taguluche preserve its authentic character to this day. At around 550 metres of elevation, you reach the Carretera General Taguluche, which you cross. Shortly afterwards, you leave the GR-132 and descend for quite some time into the Barranco Taguluche. The route follows narrow hiking paths through impressive natural surroundings with magnificent views of Taguluche and the Atlantic below you. Once you reach the small village of Taguluche, you may take some time to look around. The steep ascent path then begins.

At first, you climb steeply uphill to the right of Taguluche and its terraced fields. Then you cross the wide ravine below the rock face. This is followed by a fairly steep ascent between high rock walls through woodland. At around 800 metres elevation, you finally rejoin the GR-132. You follow this path to the Mirador de El Santo, where you can enjoy a fantastic view. Afterwards, the route continues along the GR-132 beside the large rock faces on the return journey. A long traversing path with wonderful views awaits you.
